Quick Move’s Terms Of Service, Our T’s & C’s, Please Read Carefully!
General Terms
- Safety First: We reserve the right to refuse to move any items we deem unsafe for transport. If we find items unsafe, we will inform you immediately. In such cases, we may suggest alternatives to ensure your safety.
- Follow Instructions: To avoid mistakes, ensure that a responsible party is present on the day of your move to provide instructions. This way, we can execute your move smoothly. Consequently, there will be no miscommunication.
- Respectful Service: If we experience any form of abuse from clients, we reserve the right to refuse service. In such cases, we will immediately cease service. Moreover, we take all necessary steps to protect our team and maintain professionalism.
Moving Rates & Minimum Charges Terms Of Service
- No Callout Fee: We do not charge a callout fee for our services. This ensures you save money right from the start. Furthermore, there are no hidden costs when you book with us.
- Minimum Charge: We apply a minimum charge, which covers a specific time period. Once the minimum charge is exhausted, we will charge in half-hour increments. Thus, you pay only for the time used, offering you a fair and transparent pricing structure.
- Half-Hour Charges: After the minimum charge, we charge in half-hour increments. Therefore, we ensure that you only pay for the time we spend on your move.
Arrival Times & ETAs
- Arrival Window: We provide a time window for our arrival due to traffic uncertainties in Sydney. You will receive this window in your booking confirmation email. Consequently, we encourage flexibility and patience on the day of the move.
- Real-Time Updates: Please be patient during this window. Rest assured, we will notify you by call or text with our estimated time of arrival. Additionally, we will make every effort to arrive within this window.
- Same-Day Bookings: The timing for same-day bookings depends on truck availability. Therefore, we will send you the first available truck. If timing is critical, please contact us for updates.
Truck Size & Parking
- Parking Reservations: We recommend reserving parking for our truck to save both time and money on the day of your move. This will ensure a smooth process without delays. Additionally, it can help us avoid unnecessary fines.
- Height Restrictions: Our fleet includes various vehicle sizes, but we cannot guarantee clearance for height restrictions. To avoid issues, please ensure there are no height restrictions in your parking area.
- Parking Infringements: If necessary, we will park in a no-parking zone to complete the job. If this happens, we will add any fines incurred to your total. In such cases, we will inform you of the charges.
- Truck Loading Capacity: Each vehicle has different loading capacities. Therefore, we cannot guarantee that all items will fit in a single load, even if the weight is acceptable. In cases like this, we may need to make additional trips.
Insurance Terms Of Service
We highly recommend obtaining your own insurance policy for added protection during your move. While we take great care with your items, our insurance only covers items while in transit in our truck. This means any accidents during lifting or loading are not covered. Thus, we advise you to seek independent insurance if necessary.
If your items hold significant value or sentimental importance, securing your own insurance from a reputable provider is advisable. We cannot offer coverage for this part of the move. Additionally, investing in your own insurance will give you peace of mind throughout the entire moving process.
Insurance Coverage Details:
- Goods In Transit: $100,000
- Product & Public Liability: $20,000,000
- Pre-Wrapped Items: We do not offer insurance for items packed by anyone other than our staff. Therefore, claims must be made within 24 hours of your moving date.
Optional Extra Wrapping & Boxes
- Free Padded Blankets: We provide soft padded moving blankets at no additional charge for all moves. These blankets protect your items during transit.
- Specialty Wrapping: For fragile items, we recommend optional wrapping for extra protection. Prices are as follows:
- 1-2 items: $30
- 2-4 items: $50
- 4-7 items: $75
- 7-10 items: $100
- Unlimited wrapping: $150
- Limited Moving Boxes: We carry a limited supply of moving boxes at $5 per box. Please note that these boxes are subject to availability. Therefore, we recommend securing them ahead of time.
Moving Within the Sydney Region Our Terms Of Service
- No Additional Charges: We do not impose fuel levies or callout fees. Therefore, time starts at your location and finishes at your delivery address—saving you potentially hundreds of dollars. Moreover, we aim to offer transparent pricing with no surprises.
Moving Outside the Sydney Region
- Fuel Levy: A 10% fuel levy and travel time charges apply for moves to or from locations outside the Sydney Metro area, including areas like the Central Coast, Wollongong, and certain suburbs like Avalon and Camden. We calculate return travel using Google Maps. Consequently, you will know the total cost upfront.
- Free Fuel Zone: If you’re unsure about your eligibility for the free fuel zone, please contact us at 0487 399 669. We can clarify whether your location qualifies.
Road Tolls
- Toll Charges: Any toll charges incurred during the move will be added to your total and detailed on your tax invoice. Current toll rates include:
- M5: $15
- M4: $15
- M2: $20
- M7: $20
- Cross City Tunnel: $12
- Harbour Bridge: $12
- M8 Tunnel: $20
- North Connex: $15
- Note: All toll prices are subject to change without notice. Therefore, the final toll charges will reflect the actual fees on the day of your move.
Fatigue Management for Stairs & Difficult Access
- Managing Fatigue: We apply a fatigue levy if the relocation involves excessive challenges, such as numerous stairs or difficult access. This levy ensures the health and safety of our team. In such cases, we may need to charge extra for the added physical demands.
- Fatigue Levy: This one-time fee of $50 per mover will be included in your final receipt. This applies only if the move presents excessive physical challenges.
Payment Terms
- GST Inclusive: All payments are inclusive of GST.
- Payment Methods: We accept most credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Diners Card, and AMEX), with a 2.5% surcharge. However, we do not accept cash, cheques, EFT, Osco payments, or “pay later” options.
- Receipt: A receipt for payment will be sent via email immediately after approval.
- Authorization: By accepting our terms, you authorise the bank card entered to be debited for any amounts due for the services provided.
Cancelling and Rescheduling Your Move
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and you may need to change your moving date. If this happens, we are here to help. We can reschedule your move at no extra charge. Simply contact us, and we will find a new date for your convenience.
- Cancellation Fee – Prior to Moving Date: We will refund any money paid, less a $50 cancellation fee, if you cancel before the moving date. To process your cancellation, simply reply to your booking confirmation email.
- Same-Day Late Notice Cancellation Fee: In the event of a same-day cancellation, we must retain your deposit or minimum charge, as we have already allocated the truck and crew for your move. We appreciate your understanding.
- Written Notice Required: To manage your request accurately, please communicate all changes in writing. You can reply to your booking confirmation email or send us a text message to log your cancellation.
- Free Rescheduling: We empathise with any unforeseen changes. Therefore, rescheduling your move is completely free. Simply contact us via email or give us a call, and we will happily assist you in finding a new date.
